
Police in San Francisco are investigating an attempted robbery of a news crew Friday night, a police sergeant said.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Third Street and LaSalle Avenue around 8 p.m., Sgt. Danielle Newman said.
During the attempted robbery, a security guard nearby fired his gun. No one on the news crew was injured in the robbery or shooting, Newman said.
A short time later, a person walked into San Francisco General Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, she said. It is unknown if the incidents are related.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
