Weekend Traffic And Transit Disruptions: Nihonmachi Street Fair, Giant Race, AmCup Concert

Nihonmachi Street Fair
On Saturday and Sunday, the 40th annual Nihonmachi Street Fair will take place in and around Japantown from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., both days.

The following street closures will be required from 5 a.m., Saturday to 9:00 p.m., Sunday:

· Post Street from Laguna Street to Fillmore Street
· Webster Street from Geary Boulevard to Sutter Street
· Intersection of Webster Street and Post Street

There will be no impact on Muni service.

Giant Race Half Marathon
On Sunday, the 2013 San Francisco Giant Race will take place. There are Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races and will take place along The Embarcadero, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina. The Half Marathon and 10K races will start at 7 a.m. The 5K race will start at 11 a.m.

The race will start south of AT&T Park, continue north on The Embarcadero, west along Fisherman’s Wharf, through Fort Mason and the Presidio, returning along the same route to conclude inside AT&T Park. Course maps are available at www.race-sfgiants.com/half-marathon-course-map

The following street closures will be required:

From 11 p.m., Saturday to 11:30 a.m., Sunday
· Eastbound King Street between 2nd and 3rd streets

From 3 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Sunday
· Northbound Embarcadero between 2nd and Townsend streets
· Northbound 3rd Street between King and Channel streets
· Terry A. Francois Boulevard between 3rd and Mission Rock streets

From 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday
· Northbound Embarcadero between 2nd and Jefferson streets

From 7:30 to 11 a.m., Sunday
· Jefferson Street between The Embarcadero and Aquatic Park

From 8 to 11 a.m., Sunday
· Laguna Street between Marina Boulevard and Bay Street
· Bay Street between Laguna and Franklin streets
· Marina Boulevard between Ford Mason Park and Buchanan Street
· Westbound Marina Boulevard between Buchanan Street and Doyle Drive

The following Muni routes and lines will be affected:
· Powell/Hyde Cable Car
· F Market & Wharves
· K Ingleside
· N Judah
· T Third
· 19 Polk
· 28 19th Avenue
· 30 Stockton
· 39 Coit
· 47 Van Ness
· 49 Van Ness-Mission

America’s Cup Concert
On Sunday, the America’s Cup Concert will take place at the America’s Cup Park at Piers 27/29. Concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. Doors will open an hour before concert begins.

The SFMTA will provide additional service on F Market-Wharves bus line before and after the event:

Pre-concert
· F Line shuttle service will ONLY run between Don Chee Way and Pier 39 beginning at 5:05 p.m.

Post-concert
· Outbound shuttle service will begin at 10 p.m. and will pick up passengers at the Greenwich F Line station

· Regular F Market-Wharves route service will not stop at the Greenwich station
