Investigators are trying to find out more information about how a man suffered a traumatic brain injury on San Francisco’s Mission Street on Friday night, police said today.
Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. Friday to the 1000 block of Mission Street, which is near 6th Street, to check on a victim who was reportedly bleeding from the head, according to police.
The victim, a 37-year-old man, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for an injury to the back of his head that is considered life-threatening, police said.
Police were not immediately able to provide more details about how the man was injured.
