Suspects Still At Large Following Tenderloin Shooting

11:33 AM: A victim is expected to survive after being shot in the leg in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood this morning, a police spokesman said.

The shooting was reported shortly after 6 a.m. near the intersection of Turk and Taylor streets.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

Three male suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a silver vehicle, Esparza said.

The shooting prompted the closure of the intersection this morning, and buses were rerouted around the area.

7:22 AM: Traffic has been rerouted around a crime scene in the Tenderloin neighborhood where one person was shot this morning, according to police.

The shooting, located near the intersection of Turk and Taylor streets, was reported shortly after 6 a.m., police said.

Neither suspect information nor the condition of the victim has been released.

The outbound 31 bus route is blocked at Market and Mason streets by police activity and is traveling on the 5 bus route to bypass the area.
