Man Injured In Treat Avenue Drive-By

A man was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District on Friday evening, police said today.

The shooting was reported at 7:16 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Treat Avenue, which is near 21st Street.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was walking near Treat Avenue and 21st Street when a vehicle passed by and someone inside opened fire, according to police.

The victim was shot in the leg and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspect fled in the vehicle, described as possibly orange, and had not been found as of this morning, according to police.
