7:51 PM: BART trains are back on schedule after a man was found walking in the Transbay Tube this evening, a transit agency employee said.

The person had walked into the tunnel from the Embarcadero station in San Francisco around 6:15 p.m., a BART employee said.

He was removed from the tracks by BART police around 6:40 p.m. and was detained, the employee said.

Trains traveling in all directions were briefly affected with 15-minute delays reported because of the incident.

6:39 PM: A person walking in the Transbay Tube is causing systemwide BART delays this evening, a transit agency employee said.

Just before 6:30 p.m. BART officials reported 15-delays for trains traveling into San Francisco and in all East Bay directions.

Emergency crews are responding to a person who somehow entered the tunnel, an employee said.
