It’s an SF showcase at the Rickshaw Stop tonight. Though the name denotes an LA gang, White Fence (aka Tim Presley) is not only just one person but every bit as Bay Area as he is Southern California.

The lo-fi master has collaborated with hometown hero Ty Segall on a seriously mesmerizing album, the critically acclaimed Hair released just last year and released his latest LP just four months ago. Cyclops Reap is a work of prolific excess, inspired by tracks that didn’t quite make the cut on his previous albums. The LP straddles the old and new, practically hog tying it in the process.

Despite being on the scene less than half a decade, White Fence has a lot of material, which means a more than full show at the Rickshaw Stop tonight. Fellow SFians Jessica Pratt and Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado are set to open. In addition, Britt Govea will be making DJ selections, so you can be sure you’re night is absolutely stuffed with quality music.

What a way to celebrate hump day!
