If the chaos of Monomania is your cup of tea, then you’ll be overjoyed to see Deerhunter this Monday at the Great American Music Hall. The eclectic quintet came back swinging after a brief hiatus in 2010 that saw members pursue such broad creative endeavors as attending culinary school and releasing solo material.

The reformed group brought along a new bassist and guitarist and set to work at the start of the year to bring Monomania to the people. On their latest LP, released just three months ago, the group pulls from every noisy, punk root imaginable, completely upending the genre and revitalizing what has fast become one of the more engaging rock outfits of the naughties.

For that and their stellar live shows, their appearance at Great American Music Hall is already a sold out show. Have faith in the general admission venue to release more tickets. Ya never know.
