
A woman was critically injured when she was struck by a car that then fled in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Tuesday night, police said today.
The hit-and-run was reported at about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday at Third Street and Revere Avenue.
The 59-year-old victim was struck by a dark-colored vehicle that was speeding and did not stop after hitting her, according to police.
The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for injuries that are considered life threatening, police said.
No other information about the suspect vehicle was immediately available. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
