She was fairly badly injured, but was moaning and at least partially conscious when they took her away. she had a head injury for sure.

Chris, thank you for updating. I’ve been trying all day to find news on her condition. Pls tell her when she wakes that there were many strangers who rushed to her side moments after it happened, and we called 911 right away and checked for pulse and breathing to make sure she was not going to die before help arrived.

Is there any update on this woman? We saw the accident from our office window and were all very concerned for her well-being.

excuse this late comment BUT read this just now and i want to commend everyone who assisted this woman after the accident. it is GOOD to know there are people who are willing to help a stranger at such a tragic time, and not just stand around to video it with their cell phones BUT will actually MAKE a difference in someone’s life. i commend everyone who rushed to help her… and hope others will think twice in the future when they see such moments; will you just stand there and wonder if you SHOULD act, or just stand there. and those others who just video the whole episode but not assist… remember that when one day you are in need of assistance and everyone just stands around videoing you in your suffering and pain, and not one actually helps you. WE are people and real people HELP each other, stranger, tourist or resident alike; we all need help sometimes. dont be the one who stands but BE the one who acts. ok, am off my soap box…

just found this article. Chris, how is your sister doing?

I crossed king and she must have been behind me. i hear the car crash and looked up and saw car parts flying then saw your sister lying on her back, with head on the curve and her body on the street. i then crossed 3rd St from the donut shop on the corner to see how she was doing and people started gathering around her. i called 911 after asking if anyone had called and most of us were in a state of shock and no one was able to respond. i was put on a musical hold!! i tried to stop someone from moving her arm when they were going to look into her purse and asked another guy what he was doing when he put his hands on her carotid while she was gasping for air. he said he was feeling for a pulse. when the sole paramedic responded, i asked if he needed help and he pointed me to the ambulance back to get gloves. i held her bloodied head until the police arrived and took over. as far as i can see she was not groaning because she was struggling to breath. each inspiration had a stridorous sound and when she exhaled she bled through her mouth. as far as i could see she was unconscious. it has to be the most traumatic event i’ve ever witnessed and prayed for her throughout the day. please tell us how she is doing now. Lifting her and your family in prayers.

Hoping she is recovering, and she is still in my thoughts. I had considered calling to check up, but was afraid to be a bother, since after all I was just a passer by, and am not a personal relation.
