Haight Home Robbed While Residents Slept

A San Francisco man woke up to find two men rummaging through his Haight-Ashbury home early Wednesday morning while he and his roommates slept, police said.

Police responded to the home, located in the 1600 block of Page Street, which is near Ashbury, after the hot-prowl burglary was reported there at 4:30 a.m.

The 26-year-old man woke up and noticed a flashlight beam in his house, police said. He then saw two men going through a suitcase.

That is when both suspects, believed to be in their 20s, fled.

A laptop was reported missing by one of the man’s two 23-year-old male housemates, as was a cellphone and wallet, police said.

No injuries were reported.
