The U.S. Coast Guard this morning pulled a body from San Francisco Bay near the Golden Gate Bridge.
Crewmembers on a tourist boat called 911 and reported seeing a body floating near the mid-span of the Golden Gate Bridge at about 10:30 a.m., a Coast Guard official said.
The Coast Guard dispatched a team to retrieve the body and brought it to shore, where it was transferred to the Marin County coroner’s office.
The case remains under investigation.
