SF Archbishop To Call For Immigration Reform At Morning Press Conference

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone is scheduled to join members of the undocumented immigrant community at a news conference this morning in San Francisco, according to the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

The immigrant community members’ lives have been affected by the broken immigration system, and the news conference will address this issue, archdiocese officials said.

Members believe the system fails the nation and those seeking to contribute to American society, officials said.

Cordileone will call for a “path to citizenship” for the thousands of undocumented immigrants in the three counties – San Mateo, Marin, San Francisco – of the archdiocese, officials said.

The news conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the steps of Mission Dolores Basilica, at 300 Dolores St.
