Man Shot In Lower Haight

A man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood on Tuesday night, police said today.

The shooting was reported at about 9:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Pierce Street, which is near Waller.

Police say the 22-year-old victim was a passenger in a car that was pulling out of a parking lot (though local site Haighteration points out that no parking lot exists in the area) when three suspects opened fire, striking him in the leg.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests had been made as of this morning.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
