14-Year-Old Boy Injured In Drive-By Shooting

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the ankle as he sat in a car in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Sunday morning, police said today.

The shooting was reported at 11:37 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Oakdale Avenue.

The teen was sitting in the parked car when two male suspects drove up and fired several shots into the vehicle, striking the victim, according to police.

The boy was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspects fled in a small, two-door vehicle and had not been found as of this morning. No further information was available about the suspects, according to police.
