Police Chase Man From Pacifica To SF

Pacifica police chased a man to San Francisco late Sunday night after he refused to pull over in their coastal city, police said.

Around 11 p.m., a Pacifica officer in the 200 block of Manor Drive tried to pull over Marvin Araquistain, 34, of Pacifica—who is known to police—on suspicion of driving on a suspended license, police said.

Araquistain allegedly refused to stop and drove off in his black Dodge Charger with officers following behind, police said.

The chase went through Daly City and eventually ended in San Francisco after police lost him for a brief period.

The Dodge was found abandoned in the 800 block of Sargent Street in San Francisco. Araquistain was located a few blocks away, police said.

He was taken into custody after a struggle with officers, during which police said he was in possession of a loaded gun.

He was booked into San Mateo County Jail on various charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm while out on bail, driving with a suspended license and obstructing and evading officers, police said.

San Francisco and Daly City police assisted in taking Araquistain into custody, police said.
