A Sig-alert has been issued on southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco for police activity involving a pedestrian on the roadway, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The alert was issued at 2:41 p.m. when San Francisco police responded to a pedestrian near Potrero Avenue who became combative, CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.
Three Highway 101 lanes were briefly shut down, but as of 2:49 p.m., only two lanes remained closed, Van Eckhardt said.
