policeblotter_sfa.jpgPolice are continuing to investigate a shooting and a stabbing that injured two men in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood early this morning.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at 1:40 a.m. in the vicinity of 25th and Connecticut streets, located on the southern slope of Potrero Hill.

Upon arrival, police located a 53-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his foot, according to police.

Police said the victim was exiting a vehicle when the bullet struck him in his foot.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance and sustained injuries not considered to be life-threatening, police said.

Less than an hour and a half later, police responded to the 900 block of Connecticut Street at 3 a.m., just one block from the location of the shooting, to reports that a man had been stabbed in the vicinity, police said.

The 49-year-old male victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his torso and was transported by ambulance to San Francisco General Hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Police said the victim is in stable condition this morning.

Police did not locate any suspects when they arrived at the scene of the stabbing.

No suspects have been arrested in either incident, police said.
