A San Francisco man was sentenced Thursday to more than 11 years in prison on a child pornography charge, according to federal prosecutors.
Stephen Leone, 50, was sentenced to 135 months in prison and ordered to pay $15,000 in restitution for one count of transportation of child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman Jack Gillund.
Initially charged with two counts of producing child pornography, Leone pleaded guilty on Oct. 12, 2012, to one count of transportation of child pornography, prosecutors said.
In the plea agreement, he admitted that on Nov. 27, 2011, he made a video recording of a minor that he then transported to other electronic devices and media, prosecutors said.
Leone has been in continuous custody since his arrest by San Francisco police on April 22, 2012.
