A teenage boy who thought he was going to smoke marijuana with two people he met on a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus was instead robbed at a nearby park on Monday afternoon, police said today.
The incident began at about 1:45 p.m. Monday in the 2600 block of Geary Boulevard near Presidio Avenue, where the 14-year-old victim was on the Muni bus and the two suspects offered to smoke marijuana with him, according to police.
The trio got off the bus and walked to a nearby park, where one of the suspects demanded the teen’s money and said he had a gun, although no weapon was seen, police said.
The victim handed over his cellphone, wallet and cash. The suspects, described as two teens around 16 or 17 years old, fled and had not been found as of this morning, police said.
The victim was not injured in the robbery.
