sffd_fire.jpgSan Francisco firefighters extinguished a residential fire in the city’s Noe Valley neighborhood tonight, fire officials said.

A two-alarm response was called for the fire in the 4200 block of 26th Street, which is near Castro, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire was reported at 6:48 p.m. and under control at 7:17 p.m., fire officials said.

The fire may have involved multiple buildings, according to preliminary reports.
