A man was critically injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Friday evening, police said today.

The 36-year-old victim was found shot in the head shortly before 6 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Palou Avenue and Hawes Street, according to police.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are considered life threatening, police said.

No arrests had been made and no suspect information was immediately available this morning.
