memorial.jpgA prayer service for a 20-year-old man shot to death in San Francisco’s Bayview District is scheduled for Thursday.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, the Ministry for Victims of Violent Crimes, with the families of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, will hold a prayer service for Tyrice Lane, who was gunned down Friday night.

The public is welcome to join for the service, which will be held at the corner of Mendell Street and La Salle Avenue, the area where the shooting took place.

Lane, whose city of residence has not been confirmed by the medical examiner’s office, was shot and killed around 10:25 in the 1000 block of Mendell Street Friday.

Police said Lane was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The homicide is the 59th in San Francisco in 2012.

As of this morning, police said no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and no suspect information was available.
