snowflakelede.jpgAs the holiday season approaches, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee this evening will help decorate Market Street by lighting snowflake decorations placed on lampposts along the city’s famous thoroughfare.

The event, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the cable car turnaround at Market and Powell streets, marks the beginning of the fifth-annual “Snowflakes on Market” ceremony.

The snowflakes will stay lit along Market Street lampposts through mid-January to celebrate the holiday season.
