sfpd_squad.jpg5:55 PM: A Vallejo man was detained following a possible shooting and standoff in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood today, according to police.

At about 6:55 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired near Eddy and Webster streets, San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

Officers investigating the reports found bullet casings on the 1300 block of Eddy Street, and blood on the ground on the 1500 block, Andraychak said.

Witnesses told police that a gunman had been seen entering a Victorian-style home on the 1300 block of Eddy Street. A tactical police team responded, and the building was surrounded.

Just before 11 a.m., all residents of the building were ordered to come out, Andraychak said. Several adults and four children exited the building.

Police detained a possible suspect, identified only as a 28-year-old Vallejo man. He was booked on a no bail probation violation warrant from Solano County, Andraychak said.

A 30-year-old woman visiting the house was also arrested on a $30,000 theft warrant.

The investigation into the shooting continues, and police are still trying to determine if the blood found on Eddy Street was related to the shots fired. No victims have been reported.

A search of the house did not turn up a weapon, Andraychak said.
