sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpg 6:59 PM: An Elk Grove man who was stabbed near Candlestick Park this afternoon after an argument with two suspects is expected to survive, San Francisco police said today.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was standing on Harney Way approximately 500 yards west of Jamestown Road around 1:30 p.m. with a group of five friends when the two suspects approached, according to Sgt. Michael Andraychak.

The suspects initiated a verbal altercation, then one of them stabbed the victim in the torso, causing life threatening injuries, Andraychak said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The victim and the suspects were reportedly all football fans in the area for today’s San Francisco 49ers game, Andraychak said.

The suspects were arrested a few minutes later at Blanken Avenue and Executive Park Boulevard, but their identities have not yet been released.

Andraychak described them as a 22-year-old male from Daly City and a 30-year-old male from San Francisco.
