policeblotter_sfa.jpgA woman fatally stabbed in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early Sunday morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 46-year-old Elia Cruz.

Officers responded at 1:51 a.m. Sunday to a report of a disturbance in the 400 block of Eddy Street. They arrived to find Cruz, a San Francisco resident who had been stabbed with a knife, police said.

The suspect, described as a man between 25 and 30 years old, had not been found as of this morning and no other details about the case were immediately available, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
