police-light-bar1.jpgA pedestrian was critically injured when he was struck by a car in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on Tuesday night, police said today.

The collision was reported at 8:31 p.m. at John F. Kennedy Drive and Eighth Avenue.

The driver, a 27-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators after the accident, according to police.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with a broken leg and other injuries, police said. His wounds are considered life-threatening.
