3:02 PM: A man was stabbed after trying to sell a tricycle in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood on Wednesday evening, a police spokesman said.
The stabbing was reported around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Natoma Street.
The 25-year-old victim met with a woman to sell her an adult-size tricycle, and after taking it for a test ride, the woman tried to ride away with it east toward Sixth Street, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
As the victim tried to chase after the woman, he was struck in the head from behind by a second suspect and then stabbed by a third person, Esparza said.
All three suspects then fled and had not been found as of this afternoon, he said.
The victim was able to retrieve the tricycle and was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
One of the suspects was described as a black woman between 45 and 50 years old who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 200 pounds and was wearing a white and black jacket, black pants and white shoes, Esparza said.
The second suspect was described as a black woman between 50 and 55 years old who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 140 pounds and was wearing a black pullover jacket, blue jeans, white socks and black shoes, according to Esparza.
There was no description available for the third suspect, he said.

11:53 AM: A man was stabbed after trying to sell a bicycle to two women in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood on Wednesday evening, police said.
The stabbing was reported around 7:45 p.m. in the 500 block of Natoma Street, which is near 6th Street.
The 25-year-old victim met with one of the women to sell her a bike, and, after riding around on it briefly, she tried to ride off with it, according to police.
The victim caught up to the suspect and began fighting with her over the bike, and the second woman then ran up behind the victim and stabbed him in the back with a pair of scissors, police said.
The suspects, both described as women in their 40s or 50s, fled and had not been found as of this morning, according to police.
The victim was able to hold onto the bike and was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
