muni_generic.jpgService was briefly disrupted this morning on two San Francisco Municipal Railway lines after a streetcar derailed near Church and Duboce streets, a Muni spokesman said.

At about 9:20 a.m., a Muni operator was taking an empty streetcar out of a nearby yard when he made an error and it derailed, spokesman Paul Rose said.

The streetcar was blocking the path of light-rail vehicles on the J-Church and N-Judah lines for more than an hour, Rose said.

J-Church trains were turned back at the Church Street station, and N-Judah trains turned around at the Fillmore and Duboce stop until the problem was cleared up at about 10:30 a.m., he said.
