shooting_nighttime.jpgA man was critically injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District early this morning, police said.

The shooting was reported at 1:37 a.m. in the first block of Julian Avenue, near 14th Street.

The 21-year-old victim got into an argument with another man and threw a bottle at him, prompting the suspect to pull out a gun and shoot the victim in the abdomen, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspect, a man described as between 20 and 25 years old, had not been found as of this morning, according to police.
