shooting_nighttime.jpgA man was injured in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Tuesday evening, police said today.

The shooting was reported at 7:42 p.m. in the first block of Commer Court.

The 26-year-old victim was standing on the sidewalk when he was struck by shots fired from a nearby vehicle, a white four-door sedan, according to police. The driver then accelerated away.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
