susiecagle.jpgBeginning this Saturday, June 23rd the Cartoon Art Museum’s Small Press Spotlight will feature the art of Susie Cagle. An occasional Appeal contributor, the Oakland-based journalist and cartoonist has drawn true stories in comic books since 2008 and spoken at conferences across the country about comics journalism.

Cagle is a graduate of Columbia’s journalism school and recently won the Society of Professional Journalist’s 2012 James Madison First Amendment Award for cartooning.

Small Press Spotlight has been an ongoing feature at the Cartoon Art Museum, bringing to life the rich history of the city’s innovative, groundbreaking comic art.

Cost: General Admission is $7, Student/Senior $5, Children 6-12 $3, and Members and Children under 6 are absolutely free.
