San Francisco police arrested two men and confiscated five guns on Thursday night while searching a residence near John McLaren Park, police said.

The police Gang Task Force and Violence Reduction Team in collaboration with the FBI executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Dartmouth Street at around 10:30 p.m., police said.

The search warrant was related to an investigation into a recent violent gang incident in San Francisco, police said.

Police found a shotgun and four handguns inside the residence, and arrested two suspects without incident, police said.

Police identified the suspects as San Francisco residents Guillermo Jimenez, 23 and Robert Nizuk, 56.

Jimenez and Nizuk were both arrested on suspicion of being felons in possession of a firearm, and Jimenez was also arrested on suspicion of parole and probation violations.
