A motorcyclist who crashed on U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco Monday night died from his injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers attempted to stop the motorcyclist who was speeding on northbound Highway 101 near Candlestick Park at around 8:10 p.m., CHP officials said.
A brief chase followed and the 25-year-old driver of the 1996 Honda motorcycle crashed his vehicle near Interstate Highway 80, according to the CHP.
The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
