cable-car.jpgSan Francisco Municipal Railway’s California cable car line will be out of service on Thursday while crews do signal work on the eastern end of the line, Muni officials said today.

Bus shuttles will be in place all day along the cable car line, which runs along California Street between Van Ness Avenue and Drumm Street.

Crews will be working to move the preemptive signal in the line’s eastbound direction away from the intersection at Drumm Street, allowing for a smoother crossing of the intersection to the end of the line, according to Muni officials.

Traffic lanes will be open in each direction around the work area and parking will not be affected.
