sfo_rain.jpgStorm clouds will bring more rain to the Bay Area over the next couple of days, but the skies are expected to clear by the weekend, a National Weather Service forecaster said this afternoon.

Forecaster Steve Anderson said the region should see more rain by Thursday morning, and that the wet weather will likely continue into Friday.

Some BB-size hail was reported in the San Jose area around noon, but the Bay Area is not likely to see the more dramatic weather reported elsewhere, he said.

A funnel cloud touched down southwest of Stockton early this afternoon, said Stefanie Henry, a meteorologist with the weather service’s Sacramento-area office.

Anderson said no such weather is expected in the Bay Area, although there could be some thunder and lightning tonight. High temperatures are expected to be in the 60s, with lows in the 40s.

“It’ll be sunny and dry over the weekend,” he said.
