sfpd_squad.jpgA man was stabbed in San Francisco’s Mission District early this morning but is refusing to cooperate with investigators, police said.

Shortly before 3 a.m., the 29-year-old victim approached officers at the corner of 17th and Mission streets and said he had been stabbed, police said.

The victim had suffered multiple stab wounds to his back and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

Although he was the one who initially approached police, the victim has remained tight-lipped about the incident since then, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
