sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgThe manager of a residential hotel in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly breaking into a tenant’s room and trying to steal DVDs, police said.

The burglary was reported at 6:37 p.m. in the first block of Sixth Street.

The 23-year-old victim was sitting in his room when the suspect allegedly used his keys to open the door, according to police.

He then grabbed the DVDs and ran out into the hallway. The victim followed him and a struggle ensued, but the manager was able to break free and fled the scene, police said.

However, officers responded and eventually arrested the manager, a 39-year-old man whose name has not yet been released.
