Beginning Monday night and continuing each night until April 27, Caltrans crews will shut down a northbound lane on Doyle Drive to remove sections of an adjacent sidewalk and bridge.
The far-right northbound lane of Doyle Drive will be closed on weeknights and mornings between 8 p.m. and noon, and on weekend nights between 9 p.m. and noon, according to Caltrans.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes to approach the Golden Gate Bridge during closure times.
The demolition work is needed to prepare for a full closure of Doyle Drive beginning April 27 through April 30, when crews will demolish the existing bridge structures and transfer traffic onto a temporary bypass.
