The Hunger Games with old people. Was that timed on purpose? Because it’s either really smart or really stupid and I’m too stupid to know which. Looks scary in a self-referential way? Joss Whedon’s involved so it’s hot girls in distress, but still all “smart” and respected. Rain liked it a lot.
Lockout – Everywhere
Guy Pearce against the system as an ex-FBI agent who’s now gone rogue but is a good guy and will win in the end. Pretty routine, but Rain says Pearce is really great in it.
The Three Stooges – Everywhere
Take your grandparents to see this schlock fest from those idiot Farrelly brothers. HOW ARE THEY ALLOWED TO MAKE MOVIES? So many people (SO MANY PEOPLE) want to make movies and THIS is what makes it to theaters? I’d like to make a murder-suicide pact with Hollywood–I’m willing to take one for the team.
Kid With a Bike – Embarcadero
Sad boy is abandoned by dad and then a fabulous hairdresser comes alongs and saves him. It’s French, and it’s awesome.
