Police received a report of shots fired in the area of Connecticut and 25th streets around noon, Sgt. Michael Andraychak said. The caller indicated someone may have been shooting at a vehicle.

Officers arriving on the scene did not find a car or any victims, but did find bullet casings on the street.

Shortly after, however, they received several anonymous tips that the suspects had entered a building on the 1800 block of 26th Street.

Police set up a tactical perimeter and searched the four units in the building, checking with residents to determine that everyone was safe.

No suspects were located, and the area was cleared by about 3:15 p.m., Andraychak said. Police are checking hospitals, but have not located any victims in the shooting.

The incident caused Muni buses 19, 10, and 48 to be rerouted while police searched the area, according to Muni officials.
