The solo-vehicle crash was reported at 2:42 a.m. on Brotherhood Way near Chumasero Drive.

A white Acura was traveling west on Brotherhood Way when it went off the roadway and struck a tree, according to police.

Three people in the car, a 21-year-old man and two 20-year-old men, were ejected from the car, police said.

All three victims were taken to a hospital. Two of the victims suffered injuries that are considered life-threatening while the third is expected to survive, according to police spokesman Sgt. Daryl Fong.

Police have not determined whether alcohol played a role in the crash but it appears that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before hitting the tree, Fong said.

The crash remains under investigation, he said.
