policeblotter_sfa.jpgA store in San Francisco’s Polk Gulch neighborhood was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday evening, police said.

The robbery was reported at 7:22 p.m. at a store in the 900 block of Polk Street, which is near O’Farrell.

A suspect entered the store, pulled out a handgun and demanded that an employee open the cash register, according to police.

The employee and another person could not open the register, so the suspect demanded both victims’ cellphones, then fled from the store with the phones, police said.

No one was injured in the robbery and the suspect remains outstanding.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
