outsidelands.jpgThe organizers for the annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco have announced the dates for this year’s event.

The fifth annual version of the three-day concert will take place from Aug. 10-12 in the city’s Golden Gate Park, organizers announced on the festival’s website.

A limited amount of Eager Beaver three-day tickets for the festival will go on sale for a discounted price starting this Friday on the website, www.sfoutsidelands.com.

The lineup for this year’s event has not been announced. Last year’s headliners included Phish, Muse, Arcade Fire, John Fogerty and The Roots.

Some neighbors have complained in past years about the noise and traffic generated over the course of the event.

But a report commissioned by event organizers Another Planet Entertainment and authored by San Francisco State University found that the festival generated more than $60 million last year alone in economic impact for the city.
