Feed Me may not be one of the biggest names in the U.S. dubstep scene, but his success back home in the U.K. – and support from label head Deadmau5 – his him ready for a full blown assault.

The proof? His blown-out show at the Regency Ballroom on Friday.

The producer, also known as Jon Gooch and Spor, has taken a few tips from the mouse-masked man. A huge live production, a menacing mascot, and floor-warping beats make up the grand package, while the man himself stays hidden behind a shield of teeth and lights.

New age music discovery tools though, like YouTube and Pandora Radio, make it possible for artists like this to reach thousands of young fans around the world. The majority of people there didn’t look old enough to drink (that’s where ecstasy comes in), but they came out in droves and gobbled up the lights, sounds and t-shirts.

The complex, glitchy, face-punching beats are nice and catchy, and the sharp grin of lights on stage made it even better. The sound isn’t the most original out there, but it is new and improved.

The ‘With Teeth’ tour, which is supporting last month’s release of “Feed Me’s Escape From Electric Mountain,” is making its way through the rest of the country. Various tour guests include AC Slater, Skream, Benga, 12th Planet and more.
