windy.jpgThe California Highway Patrol has issued high wind advisories on many major Bay Area bridges this morning.

Since 5:30 a.m. wind warnings have been in effect on the San Rafael-Richmond, San Mateo, Dumbarton and Benicia bridges, according to the CHP.

Just before 1 a.m. a wind advisory was issued on the Bay Bridge.

That advisory remains in place this morning, according to the CHP.

The National Weather Advisory has a wind advisory set to go in effect at noon today.

Wind gusts may reach up to 50 mph along coastal and hill areas in the Bay Area, according to weather officials.

Windy conditions can make driving difficult–especially on bridges with warnings in place. Weather officials advise caution while on the road.
