Critical Mass

On Friday at 6 p.m., the Critical Mass bicycle ride will begin at Justin Herman Plaza.

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

From 8 p.m., Friday through 5 a.m., Monday, weather permitting, the SFMTA plans to continue the Muni Metro track work on Duboce Avenue between Sanchez and Belcher streets, including the demolition of track work beginning at 8pm, Friday. The Carl Street project will include pothole and other street repairs.

Traffic Impacts
The construction will require the closure of Duboce Avenue between Sanchez and Church streets. Belcher and Fillmore streets will be closed at Duboce Avenue. Traffic control officers will direct traffic at critical intersections. Street parking will not be available in and around the construction sites.

Temporary bus stops on Frederick Street (two at Cole, two at Willard, and one at Stanyan) for the N bus shuttles will require parking removal as will two bus stops on the northwest corner of Market and Church streets (one on 14th Street and one on Market Street).

Local access will be granted and all local businesses will remain open. Bike routes 30 (the “wiggle”), 47 (the Steiner/Sanchez route) and 50 (the connector route between the wiggle and Market Street) will be affected at the Church and Duboce construction area. Detour signs will be posted.

Muni Service Impacts

N Judah Bus Shuttles
N Judah bus shuttles will operate all weekend between Ocean Beach and Church Street.
The first outbound stop will be on the northwest corner of Market and Church streets
The first outbound accessible stop will be on 14th Street at Church Street.

From La Playa to Arguello the N buses will follow the regular N Line route. East of Arguello the N service will re-route around the construction and street closure. The service will run as an express between Cole and Frederick and Castro and Duboce.

N Owl
N Owl bus service will be rerouted from Carl Street onto Frederick Street.

SFMTA Ambassadors will be in the area to provide information and to assist customers at transfer points.

SFMTA Sales Kiosks Operation Hours

SFMTA sales kiosks will begin spring and summer operation hours effective Saturday, March 31. The schedule follows:

Powell and Market streets 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
(seven days a week)

Hyde and Beach streets 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
(seven days a week)

Bay and Taylor streets 12 p.m. to 6
p.m. (seven days a week)

Presidio Avenue and Geary Street* 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (seven days a week)

*This location will be closed on major holidays.
