Road and infrastructure repairs planned along a portion of San Francisco’s Mission Street mean that some transit riders will have to wait at temporary bus stops starting this weekend.
The repairs involve replacing a water main, repaving Mission Street between 16th and Cesar Chavez streets and installing curb ramps at select intersections, according to the city’s Department of Public Works.
The project begins Monday, but San Francisco Municipal Railway bus reroutes will take effect Saturday and will last for approximately six months.
Muni passengers on the 14-Mission, 14L-Mission Limited and 49-Mission/Van Ness buses should look for temporary stops along South Van Ness Avenue between 14th and 26th streets.
Additional information on the reroutes can be found at www.sfmta.com.
Muni is collaborating with the city’s Public Utilities Commission to expedite the repairs, according to SFDPW.
