bartpolice_generic.jpgThe mysterious circumstances around a man found unconscious and bleeding at BART’s Civic Center has led BART to seek the public’s help to figure out what happened to cause his injuries.

According to BART a 45-year-old Caucasian, six foot tall male with brown hair and hazel eyes, was found unconscious at around 12:30 PM last Friday, March 9.

A BART agent found him “lying on the floor bleeding from his head near the pay phones at the concourse level of BART’s Civic Center Station close to the 7th and Market St. exit,” says BART in a press release.

The man was wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. SFWeekly adds that the man is in stable condition.

BART PD is asking the public to help them determine what caused this man’s injury, asking riders who passed through that station Friday to try to remember if they might “have seen something unusual” related to this incident.

if you have any information that would help in BART Police’s investigation, call their Investigation Section at (510) 464-7040, their confidential hotline at (510) 464-7011, or email Detective Wendy Sanchez at wsanche@bart.gov.
